The Elusive Outside Aids

with Dr. Erin Cardea

Throughout this session, Erin seeks to educate riders as well as offer helpful teaching techniques to instructors about the function of the outside leg, rein, and seat bone. Various exercises will be demonstrated that will help riders feel the use of the aids in relation to the horse’s movement with an emphasis on clearer communication between horse and rider. This session will enhance the ability to grasp understanding of the elusive outside aid function and to teach this concept more effectively to students.
