Vaulting Horse Selection & Training

Ever wonder what it takes to create a vaulting horse? In this session, Sarah will discuss selection & suitability of choosing a vaulting horse and what equipment is necessary for a grassroots vaulting program. Then with a vaulting horse candidate, Sarah and her assistants will demonstrate a practical step by step process for introducing a lesson horse to the expectations of a vaulting horse in a safe, informational manner.

Sarah Triplett grew up in the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council (GSSJC) equestrian program where she learned horsemanship, leadership, and vaulting. She is a CHA Assistant Vaulting Certifier, an Instructor/Trainer for GSSJC, a national IHSA competitor as she continues her studies at West Texas A&M University in Equine Industry and Business. She has helped start several Vaulting Clubs in the Houston area and is involved with show management for EVUSA Competitions in Texas. Sarah is passionate about helping her students build courage, confidence, and character through horsemanship and vaulting.
